National Office for Cyber and Information Security (NÚKIB) recommends not installing and using TikTok on work and private devices used for work purposes.
It also recommends that the public consider using this app and especially what they share through it. For so-called persons of interest, i.e. persons who are, for example, in high political, public or decision-making positions, it is recommended not to use the application at all.
Why?
Long story short: TikTok collects data about its users that it uses
functioning primarily does not need And there is a lot of that data. It must be said that Facebook and company also do this...
The entire rationale of NÚKIB
The fear of possible security threats arises primarily from the amount of data collected about users and the way in which it is collected and handled, and last but not least also from the legal and political environment of the People's Republic of China, to whose legal environment ByteDance, which developed and operates social the TikTok platform.
