How to choose the right tool?

ChatGPT remains ChatGPT (OpenAI) and is here: https ://chat.openai.com/

ChatGPT is free and paid (Plus, Team, Enterprise plans). What is the difference between the tools? For the standard user, it's more a matter of personal preference. For some people, an Oktavka is enough, others want a Volvo. Some people don't mind paying, others do. Anyway, if…

… you don't like Microsoft, so pay for ChatGPT Plus. $20 + tax per month.
… you want the most from generative AI, so pay for ChatGPT Plus. $20 + tax per month.
… you want the most out of generative AI and you want to use it in more people, so pay ChatGPT Team. $25 + tax per month per person.
… you are an employee at a company where you have M365, so give Copilot a chance. The company may already be paying you.
… you are an employee in a company where you have Google, so try Gemini.

The signpost above is not bulletproof and always depends on your specific setup. But it's better than nothing, and at least you have somewhere to catch yourself. But it's best to get your hands on those tools anyway and combine them as needed. I have ChatGPT Plus, ChatGPT Team and Copilot for M365.

For users who need detailed retrieval of information, for example for research or academic purposes, there is one more option - the best choice for these purposes: The perplexities of AI. ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot are best for a wide range of general uses. Perplexity can read the web, ChatGPT, Copilot and Gemini cannot.
