How to AI: ChatGPT – Copilot – Gemini – Claude

If you've been lost in the constant stream of AI news lately, you're not alone. This article will help you navigate the major players in the AI market and introduce the basic AI tools that are commonly available. The most famous AI tools include: ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini and Claude.

ChatGPT by OpenAI

ChatGPT developed by OpenAI appeared in the fall of 2022 and launched a revolution in artificial intelligence. This artificial intelligence model is designed for natural language processing. It is built on an architecture called GPT (Generative Pre-trained Transformer) and is trained on large amounts of text data, allowing it to understand and generate human-like text.

It is used for various purposes such as answering questions, creating content, helping with programming, writing essays, translations and much more. Ask anything, the chatbot will always find the answer.

There are different versions of ChatGPT:

  1. Free of charge: Basic version with limited features.
  2. Plus: Paid version that offers access to more advanced models and faster response.
  3. Team: A plan designed for team collaboration that includes all the benefits of the Plus version, plus allows for multiple users.
  4. Enterprise: An enterprise-focused version that provides robust integration options and support.

You can try it yourself here: ChatGPT or download mobile application.

Microsoft Copilot

Microsoft Copilot is an artificial intelligence tool that is available on the web but is also integrated into Microsoft products to help users automate and streamline their work. Originally known as Bing AI, Copilot is designed to facilitate various tasks in Microsoft 365 applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams.

Copilot version:

  1. Individuals: Basic version for single users who want to increase their productivity.
  2. Companies: Advanced versions designed for team collaboration and enterprise use, often provided as part of an M365 subscription.

Copilot is available here: Microsoft Copilot or in cell phone. More about Copilot, for example, in our article here.

Google Gemini

Google Gemini is an artificial intelligence tool developed by Google. Formerly known as Bard, the tool was renamed Gemini in February 2024. It is designed to help users with various tasks within the Google ecosystem, using advanced machine learning and natural language processing technologies. In other words, Gemini offers services similar to ChatGPT or Copilot, but in a Google environment.

Gemini version:

  1. Individual users: Basic version for individuals who want to take advantage of artificial intelligence in their daily work or personal life.
  2. Companies: Advanced versions designed for enterprise use that offer greater integration and team collaboration options within Google Workspace.

Claude by Anthropic

Claude is the name for an AI assistant that was developed by the American company Anthropic. Like the other tools already mentioned, Claude is designed to answer questions, generate text, and perform various other natural language tasks. Claude AI differs from ChatGPT in particular by focusing on a higher level of security and ethics in its responses, which reduces the risk of generating malicious content.

Cloud versions available:

  1. Haiku: the fastest model that can perform easy actions at high speed.
  2. Sonnet: the best combination of performance and speed for efficient and highly demanding tasks.
  3. Opus: the most powerful model that handles complex analyses, longer tasks with many steps.

Multimodality and speed

The most current trend in artificial intelligence tools is multimodality, which means the functional connection of different forms of output. Imagine a tool that can generate not only text, but also voice, video or images. Multimodality is becoming a key element in the further development of AI technologies. Instead of writing text, try simply dictating the tasks for the artificial intelligence. Or feed the AI a picture and ask what's in the picture.

Artificial intelligence voice control

Next to multimodality is another important trend speed. Modern tools such as ChatGPT-4o are designed to be very fast and efficient. This model offers not only fast response but also high accuracy, making it a versatile tool for various applications. Speed is better in paid products, it's like an AI assistant on steroids. By the way, ChatGPT 5 is just around the corner and the speed of content generation will increase even more.

What is the difference between the tools?

For the standard user, it's more a matter of personal preference. Someone prefers simplicity and availability, others prefer paid services with advanced functions.

For quick reference:

  • If you don't like Microsoft, choose ChatGPT Plus.
  • If you want the most from generative AI, choose ChatGPT Plus or Team.
  • If you work in a company with M365, try Copilot.
  • If you work in a business with Google Workspace, try Gemini.
  • If you want to try something new and super fast, try Claude.

In conclusion

Personally, we are most sorry for Bard's name change to Gemini, it was nice to see him in the newsletters from Google. ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini or Claude are not perfect and it always depends on your specific setup. It's best to have these try out the tools and combine as needed. Our recommendations are ChatGPT Plus, ChatGPT Team and Copilot for M365 to get the most out of AI.
